All Moved In

I think it takes us longer than anyone on the planet to get moved in a house and settled down. Ha! We have "been moving in" for about a month, and Sunday, we finally finished everything! No more boxes, no more pictures to hang, some new furniture equals one happy gal! 

These pictures aren't the best, but all I have taken so far. And honestly, I'm too tired to get up and take more right now. :) I am so excited to be done. Well, almost done. We're all moved in, but there are a few things I'd like to have for the house. I mentioned in my last post I need curtains, but I also need a painting of some sort for my kitchen. So... instead of spending lots of money, I am going to ATTEMPT a Pinterest project! I will be sure to post pictures (good or bad) when I have some time to work on it! I did this little project tonight...

This & That

I know it's been a while since my last post, but to say life has been crazy is an understatement! We are FINALLY in our new house. I LOVE it! Our dining room/office is still full of boxes while we wait on some furniture, but other than that, things are coming together!

It's a work in progress, but I'm enjoying doing a little decorating here and there. :) I NEED curtains for the kitchen and living room. I just don't want to spend too much money, so I'm waiting on a sale!
I spent this weekend in Russellville so I could see Matt for more than 5 minutes. He is working there for a few weeks... for Tacklecenter and at the carwash we bought a few weeks ago... Don't ask. He does the investing! :) HA! So... while he worked, I got to spend some time with this cutie...

She is so grown up! I have to brag on her momma and daddy... Emily will be 2 in December. She can count to ten, say her ABC's, and she is just about potty trained. And the cuteness. Oh my!

In a Bit of a Slump

That's kinda how I have felt the past few days. Matt and Brad have been working non-stop on our new house; painting, cleaning, and just getting things ready for the move. We had the carpets cleaned this morning, so they had to take a little break to let them dry. I have been working. A lot. And, I've kinda had a stressful week, so I am really looking forward to this weekend. Our Pods were delivered today, so tomorrow and the rest of the weekend we will be moving in! I am SO ready to get into our house and have our own things! Especially my bed!

Busy, Busy, Busy

Oh my! I was so excited about starting my new job... but since I started, life hasn't slowed down one bit! My first day was last Wednesday- and I walked into a mess of an office and therapists who had no idea what they should be doing. Thursday and Friday, my area director was in town, and she was able to help me a lot. I feel like I was on brain overload with everything I was doing. When I left work Friday, I was so excited. This job is a perfect fit for me.
I went to WM to see my mom and dad for the weekend... man, that's a long drive for a couple of days! (Still, much better than Cleveland, though!) We got to catch up, and I got to spend some QT with their new lab puppy, Chevy. When I got home Sunday night, I worked a while, while Matt and Brad started painting the new house. I'm hoping they are finished by the weekend, so I can clean and get ready for the big move-in!

My New Job

I am soo excited about starting my new job tomorrow! I will be about 3 minutes from our apartment and even closer once we move into our house in August. I know I have so much to learn, but I am looking forward to this new chapter in my life. I will be an SLP half of the day and the Program Manager for all therapies the rest of the day. I will be learning medicare and private insurance billing, as well as planning the treatment times for each discipline for each patient. This facility has never had a therapy department before, so we are all starting with a blank slate. I am ready to jump in and get to learning!
Today, I went to Office Max and got a few supplies. I absolutely love office supplies! Pens and pencils, highlighters, paperclips, post-its, legal pads, binders, dividers, sharpies... I know I didn't get everything I need, but I didn't wanna break my bank in one stop. :)
I ordered some new scrubs last week. Red & Black, Black & Hot Pink, and Yellow & Light Blue. So, today I stopped at Old Navy and picked up some tee's to wear under my scrubs. They were on sale at $5 each, so I got 6! Can you tell I'm excited?

Happy Birthday, Matt!

For Matt's birthday, his mom and dad came up to Fayetteville and we went to dinner at this amazing Italian restaurant, Theo's. It was so yummy. We all had appetizers and desserts, and I had scallops. So goo! I also picked up some cupcakes for him from Bliss... yummy! I never know what to buy him- he never really asks for anything and if he needs something, he just gets it himself. :) But, this year was a little different. With the heat this summer, he has been complaining about his jeep being too hot to even drive, so I am getting his windows tinted! Perfect, right? I hope so!
