Random

We have so much going on the next few weeks. Matt is gearing up for his finals- One more year! We are having a low key Easter because he will be studying... Then, we're off to NYC for a few days. I am looking forward to a few days away, and a play on Broadway, of course :) I'm also hoping for a little shopping!
Zak is coming to visit in May... An Indians baseball game, good food and drinks, and relaxation are in the works for that weekend!
Matt and I are also celebrating our 2nd Anniversary in May! I can't believe it's almost been 2 years!

This has been a completely random post, but oh well!
One more thing- My cousin, Natalie, and her husband are expecting their first baby in November! I am so excited for them!

Lola

One of our favorite places in Cleveland is Lola. AMAZING. Michael Symon opened this restaurant on East 4th downtown, and it is almost impossible to get in for dinner. Luckily, Matt found an opening on Open Table yesterday afternoon, and we jumped on the reservations! The food is fabulous, and the wine list... well, let's just say it goes on and on and on! Italian Reds are our favorites, so we shared a bottle of Brunello di Montacino.
I always forget my camera when we go out to dinner, so this one is from my phone. We had an appetizer and drinks, dinner and wine, and dessert. Yummy! :)

Spring Wishes

No more snow! I am sure hoping that we are all done with the "s" word for a while. Cleveland has had a hard winter, and I am ready for nicer weather and sunny skies!
I have also been window shopping online, and the spring styles are too cute! These are a few of my favorites. Hopefully I can do a little shopping before our trip this summer!

Date Night

Matt and I had a date night last night and it was wonderful! We haven't been out since my surgery, which was 3 weeks ago. Both of us LOVE Chinato on East 4th, and it was packed last night. The Indians' home opener was also yesterday, so you can just imagine the crowds and partying going on. It took us about 30 minutes to go 11 blocks with all the traffic. Unfortunately, the Indians lost- no real surprise there. Maybe this season will be better than last for them!
We had such a good time... my favorite restaurant with my favorite person. :) We shared this bottle of wine...

Felsina, Chianti Classico Riserva, 2006
I never liked red wine until we were in Italy. Now, I could drink it everyday. :)

We had a low key Saturday. Slept in, hair cut, grocery store, and tonight we are staying home and watching basketball. Have a good night!

8 More Days...

Til I can eat REAL food! I have been on a pureed/soft diet since my surgery, but I didn't really eat much the days leading up to it, so let's say it's been 2 weeks since I've had a good meal. I am so sick of soups and mashed potatoes! I'm not supposed to have anything that I have to chew. On the upside, I have lost a few pounds. :) Matt has been so sweet. He has been grocery shopping numerous times (many of those just to pick up 1 or 2 things) and has made everything he could think of for something "different" for me to eat. I go for my follow up appointment Tuesday, and I am crossing my fingers for a diet upgrade. :) If everything goes like I'm hoping... It's Outback for the Wilkins' Tuesday night! ...And I already know what's on the menu...

I can taste it already!

Under the Weather

I have been a little under the weather this week. My mouth has been giving me problems, and I had surgery Friday to remove the exostosis above my upper teeth. I thought it would kinda be like getting my wisdom teeth out, but I was a little off base. I have been in lots of pain... :(
Thursday night, Matt took me to one of my favorite places... The Melting Pot. I LOVE it!!

This weekend, I was showered with flowers and gifts... maybe having surgery isn't all that bad! :)

I went back to work today... half day, and I probably should have stayed home. Oh well! I plan on being lazy on the couch this weekend and watching some March Madness... GO SYRACUSE!!

Trip To Russellville

Last weekend we made the quickest trip ever! At the last minute, I needed to get in to see Dr. Dalton (my TMJ doctor/dentist) and he agreed to see me Saturday morning. Unfortunately, another blizzard hit Cleveland that Friday morning... so we had to drive to Detroit to get out of town. Cancellations and delays led to us getting to Russellville at 3 am Saturday morning. UGH! Then, I had to be Conway at 8 and Matt drove back to Little Rock to get our luggage. We were in Russellville for a total of 25 hours... Quickest. Trip. Ever.
Three upsides to this whirlwind:
Jeremy. Jax. Emily. :)
Saturday night was charity ball, so we got to keep Emily. YAY! I loved every minute with that sweet girl.
Seriously, look at those cheeks! We had so much fun keeping her!

I'm not sure who is happier here... I think it may be Uncle Matt :)

We also got to hang out with the boys, but there was too much going on to stop for pictures! Haha! Jeremy and Jax were wild men... and they got every second of play time out of us that they could!
